AIDWA Writes to PM on OROP

In a letter written to the prime minister on August 18, the All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) has expressed support to the legitimate demand of the ex-service men of our country who have been justly demanding one-rank-one-pension. For this they are sitting in a dharna at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi for the last three months and now they have started an indefinite hunger strike. It demanded immediate fulfillment of the demand and announcement of the timelines for speedy implementation. AIDWA reminded the PM that this was also part of the BJP’s election manifesto and should have been fulfilled even before the agitation started. AIDWA has also strongly condemned the most brutal and inhuman attack on ex-servicemen on dharna, by the police on the eve of Independence Day. It demanded apologies from the PM for this shameful attack.
