On the Centenary Year of the Great October Socialist Revolution
The October Revolution and the establishment of the USSR inspired the establishment of Communist Parties in different parts of the world, inspired the movements for freedom and independence from the colonial powers, inspired the movements for universal employment, social security, and health care, and was the decisive factor in the destruction of Nazism, fascism, and Japanese militarism in World War II. It established women’s equality in all spheres.
The 21st Congress of the CPI(M) calls for celebrations to commemorate the centenary year in all-round way. It calls on the new Central Committee to organise events to commemorate the October Revolution in the political, ideological, and cultural spheres, and to conduct a campaign to propagate socialism.
