CPI(M) Condemns Political Violence in Silli Constituency

THE Jharkhand state secretariat of the CPI(M) has, in a statement issued on December 29, strongly condemned the killing of two adivasi youth and wounding of another person by AJSU backed miscreants in Rahe Block of Silli assembly constituency in Ranchi district. A CPI(M) team led by Rajendra Singh Munda, state secretariat member and ex-MLA, visited the affected Kantatoli village and met the relatives of the victims. They were informed that the killings took place after celebrations in the village following defeat of AJSU stalwart Sudesh Mahato in the recently concluded assembly elections. The entire action was pre-planned and the main purpose was to seek revenge. The condition of Manoj Oraon who was severely wounded is still critical. He is at RIMS. CPI(M) state secretariat sought personal interference on the part of the newly elected chief minister of the state and demands immediate action against the criminals involved. At the same time adequate compensation should be provided to the aggrieved families and proper treatment should be provided to the wounded. The CPI(M ) team comprised of Rangowati Devi, member, zila parishad, Ranchi and Party state committee member and other local leaders of the Party.
