Ishrat Jahan & Ruling Class Pseudo Nationalism

JINGO patriotism and pseudo right wing RSS nationalists have found a suitable partner in CIA double agent David Coleman Headley who has been given clemency in return for turning ‘approver’ in the 26/11 case. This cover for Headley has given him the license to make claims that are politically suitable for the ruling regime and that help it to wipe out the taint that Modi accumulated as chief minister of Gujarat. As part of this exercise, the public prosecutor claims that Headley has given evidence to suggest that Ishrat Jahan was a Lashkar ‘suicide bomber’.

ROHITH Vemula is no more with us. He was born on January 30, 1989 to a poor Scheduled Caste family from Guntur district. Secularism versus Hindutva

IT is only the ideologues of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, past and present, who have always opposed the idea of secular State because the idea of Hindutva is in antagonistic contradiction with the “basic structure of secular, republican and democratic constitution of India.” It deserves to be clearly emphasised that every controversy around the meaning and concept of Indian secularism has originated from the Sangh Parivar and the RSS swayam sevaks whether Lal Krishna Advani famous for his castigating the secularists as ‘pseudo’ or Rajnath Singh, a loyal RSS swayam sevak and the home ministe

Tipu Sultan: East India Company's Most Formidable Opponent

TIPU Sultan’s place in history has to be judged primarily in terms of the prolonged contest between Mysore and the East India Company (EIC). The Company had to engage in four large-scale wars (the four Anglo-Mysore wars) for over thirty years, from 1766 to 1799, to subjugate Mysore. Throughout the latter half of the eighteenth century, Mysore was the main obstacle to British expansion and consolidation in India.

Ninety Years of RSS

DR KB Hedgewar would never have imagined in his wildest of dreams that an innocuous Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) which he established on Vijaya Dashmi day of October 27, 1925 to impart physical training to Hindus so that they could become physically strong enough to defeat their enemies belonging to other ‘non-Hindu religions’ could in its 90th year become a force to be reckoned with. As much as Mohan Bhagwat becoming so powerful that he would be able to address the whole nation on the RSS day of birth on October 22, 2015.

The following is the statement issued by Artists Alert: 2015, on October 27, 2015
THE artist community of India stands in firm solidarity with the actions of our writers who have relinquished awards and positions, and spoken up in protest against the alarming rise of intolerance in the country. We condemn and mourn the murders of MM Kalburgi, Narendra Dabholkar and Govind Pansare, rationalists and free thinkers whose voices have been silenced by rightwing dogmatists but whose ‘presence’ must ignite our resistance to the conditions of hate being generated around us.

Fight the Attack on Constitutional Values

THE constitutional head of the Indian State Pranab Mukherjee on October 7, 2015 observed that “we can’t allow the core values of our civilization to be wasted.” The president further elaborated that “…..the core value is what over the years civilization celebrated diversity, promoted and advocated tolerance, and plurality.” This statement or warning of President Mukherjee has been made in a specific context of the role of Sangh Parivar and the BJP government which is leading to a complete polarisation of society on religious basis, a phenomenon which is spreading hatred and instilling intol

Ramnathi Villagers Demand Banishment Of Sanatan Sanstha HQ from Ramnathi
