SC Must Adjudicate on Matter Before it

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement on March 22, 2017
THE suggestion made by the Chief Justice of India J S Khehar, asking the parties concerned in the Ayodhya dispute, to settle the matter through talks, is superfluous and unwise.

The Supreme Court is to hear the appeals against the Allahabad High Court judgement on the Ayodhya matter. Instead of doing so, the chief justice has asked the parties to go for an out of court settlement.

On the Results of the Five Assembly Elections

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement on March 11, 2017
THE BJP has won a sweeping victory in Uttar Pradesh getting over three-fourth of the seats in the assembly. This victory has been accomplished by a mix of rank communal appeal and by putting together a wide ranging caste coalition. It was this combination that propelled Narendra Modi and the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections in the state and that momentum has been maintained.

RSS Attacks on SFI Activists in Kerala

The ABVP-RSS goons have been targeting SFI activists in Kerala.  In the past few weeks, there were several attacks on SFI leaders in various parts of Kerala. 

December 16, 2016: KS Akhil, SFI unit president of Kerala Varma College in Thrissur was attacked on his way to the college by two ABVP-RSS men on a bike.  He suffered injuries to his right hand and had to be admitted to hospital.

RSS Threat Condemned

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement on March 2.

THE Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) strongly condemns the threats being issued by RSS leaders against the Kerala chief minister, Pinarayi Vijayan. A RSS leader in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh has announced a Rs 1 crore bounty for the democratically elected chief minister’s head.

By this the RSS has reconfirmed that it spearheads the politics of violence and terror as has been clear in Kerala in the recent months.

Condemn Growing Hate Crimes in the USA

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement on February 25.

THE Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) expresses its outrage at the killing of a young Indian and injury to another in a hate crime in the United States of America. Srinivas Kuchibhotla was killed while his friend Alok Madsani was injured in the shootout in Olathe city in Kansas of the US. Both of them were legally staying in the country and working there.

Political Parties Funding: Helping Big Money in Politics

THE finance minister in the union budget has admitted that there is no transparent method of funding political parties in the country. In order to rectify this he has proposed some measures “to cleanse the system of political funding in India”. For this, three steps are proposed:

(i)                               The maximum amount of cash donation that a political party can receive will be Rs 2000 from a person;

Call for Central Party Fund

THE Central Committee in its meeting held from January 6-8, 2016 gave a call for collection of funds for the Party Centre. All Party units should collect the funds from the people. The state committees should send the amount collected by June 30, 2017.
