THE union ministry of labour and employment released draft rules for the Code on Social Security, 2020 on November 13 “for information of all persons likely to be affected thereby”, unscrupulously avoiding the route of tripartite consultation with the stakeholders, the trade unions in particular. The Modi government has been working overtime to roll out labour law codification at the earliest so as to show its hyper-loyalty to the corporates.
