CPI(M) Writes to Delhi Police Commissioner to Act on Provocative, Communal Campaign

THE CPI(M) Delhi state committee wrote a letter to the Delhi Police Commissioner on August 2, demanding immediate action and to stop the provocative and communal campaign being run by Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal. Communal and inflammatory statements were made in front of the police station in Nangloi, targeting a particular community, attacking their livelihood and slogans being raised to make Delhi another UP or Uttarakhand. Even after this the police did not seem to take any action. It is clear from this that the police is complicit and doesn’t seem to understand that a little carelessness can cause havoc.

The CPI(M) Delhi state committee appeals to the general public of Delhi to maintain peace and harmony and not to fall prey to the divisive communal propaganda.
