SFI Condemns RSS Attack on its Leader in Rajasthan

THE Central Executive Committee of the Students’ Federation of India, in a statement issued on January 2, 2016 has strongly condemned the attack on Ramkrishna Chhimpa, district president of the SFI in Churu, Rajasthan by the RSS goons in the midnight on January 3. Around 50 hooligans belonging to the saffron brigade entered into the Kisan Mazdoor Bhavan at Sardar Shahar where Ramkrishna Chhimpa was sleeping and brutally beat him for being actively involved in the SFI activities. In an extremely objectionable manner, the police have not registered a case even after hours passed away since the incident.

The attack on Ramkrishna is a continuation of the hunt on SFI activists that began two weeks back in Sikar which is the venue of the 15th all India conference of SFI. Subhash Jakhar was attacked by RSS-ABVP criminals on December 20 while he was on the way to a protest place. He was seriously injured and hospitalised with about 25 stitches on the head. But in a highly condemnable act, instead of arresting the culprits the police also joined the Sangh Parivar to attack the SFI activists. Hundreds of students who were taking out a protest rally were injured in a police lathi-charge next day and 45 of them were arrested with non-bailable charges. Subhash was also arrested while he was under treatment. 46 student activists are behind the bars for the last two weeks.

SFI has appealed to all democratic forces to rise up to resist the saffron agenda to disturb the 15th all India conference of SFI which is scheduled to be held in Sikar from January 22 to 25. The central executive committee of the SFI calls upon all its units to rise up against the continuing RSS attacks with the active support from the BJP led state government and police in various parts of Rajasthan aiming to block the SFI all India conference being held successfully.
