Inaugural Sessions’ Concluding Address

Below we publish the concluding address by Manik Sarkar, chairman of inaugural session

AT the outset I would like to thank and express our gratitude to the people of Telangana who have extended their whole hearted support to organize our Party Congress in this historic city of Hyderabad.

It is the constitutional mandate of our Party that after every three years we have to organize our Party Congress. Accordingly after Visakhapatnam we are meeting here for our 22nd Congress.

Inaugural Speech of the Party Congress

Below we reproduce the speech of Sitaram Yechury, CPI(M) general secretary, at the inaugural session of the 22nd CPI(M) Congress, Mohd. Amin Nagar, Hyderabad, April 18, 2018

Dear Comrades and friends,

I thank all of you for accepting our invitation and joining us at this inaugural session of the 22nd Congress of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). I am pleased to see the presence of eminent public figures, veteran leaders of the people’s movements and leaders of different contingents of the people’s struggles here.

Impressive Rally Concludes the 22nd Congress of the Party

AN impressive rally of Red Shirt volunteers was held on April 22, signaling the culmination of the 22nd Congress of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). The most significant aspect of the rally was it predominantly constituted of young comrades, who are below 25 years of age. More than thousand drummers matched the marching Red Shirt volunteers with their rhythmic beats. Together, they enthralled the citizens of Hyderabad, who had never before witnessed such a spectacle of Red Shirt volunteers march.

Hyderabad Festival Held on the Occasion of CPI(M) 22nd Congress

HYDERABAD is home to many historical and cultural glories. Reflecting some of them, the Hyderabad Fest 2018 is being held at NTR Stadium from April 13-22. Featuring theme-pavilions surrounding tourism, education, public sector undertaking, financial institutions, literature and specific sites catering to cultural performances besides short film fests, art and photography exhibitions, Hyderabad Fest 2018 has it all. Spoorthi Progressive Society, spearheaded by its honorary chairman Chukka Ramaiah is organising this ten-day fest.

Hyderabad All-Set to Host 22nd Congress of the CPI(M)

HYDERABAD is gearing up towards hosting the 22nd Congress of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). The Party state committee and the reception committee have taken the opportunity to host the Congress in the newly formed state of Telangana to campaign extensively against the twin dangers of neo-liberalism and communalism. The Party state committee is utilising the Congress preparations to implement the direction given by the Kolkata Plenum – to build a revolutionary party with a mass line.
