Kambhampati Sarma

THE Bahujan Left Front has announced candidates for all the 119 assembly constituencies in Telangana state. Bahujan Left Front supported by CPI(M) has become an icon for backward classes and other more backward social classes. As promised at the time of formation, the BLF has given seats to all social classes. The allotment of seats is as follows: BC-60, SC-28, ST-15, Muslim-10, and OC-6. BLF candidates are getting good support from all social classes in the constituencies. Not only that,  SCs and ST’s have been given seats in general constituencies as well. There are 10 women candidates among them.
It is also significant that allotment of Ghoshamahal constituency to a transgender Chandramukhi, and Narayankhed to Basavaraj, a physically handicapped candidate has attracted attention of the people. Other parties like TRS, BJP and Congress alliance could not give as many seats to BCs and other social backward classes. BC leaders have been protesting on this issue before respective parties. In the public meetings held before filing nominations, T Veerabhadram, BV Raghavulu and BLF chairman Nalla Surya Prakash took part. They spoke in the public meetings and called on the people to defeat TRS, TDP, the Congress alliance and the BJP and to give a chance to the BLF to change Telangana into a people’s state, which has come forward with alternative policies before the people. Change would not come in the lives of the people simply because ruling parties change, but only with policies in favour of the people, they asserted.
Filing of nominations is almost over.
