CITU Holds Young Workers Convention

THE working class people of Tripura are trying their best to come out on the streets ignoring all threats, intimidation, attacks and hooliganism of the BJP goons. They have organised series of programme during last few months.
On September 5, CITU organised a state level convention in Town Hall where more than one thousand workers from all walks of life participated. The convention adopted a programme for wide spread campaign of January 8 strike.

FOR the first time after independence, the central trade unions and independent industrial federations in the country joined together to adopt a ‘Workers’ Charter’ and demanded that these demands be included in the election manifestoes of the political parties. The ‘Workers’ Charter’ was unanimously adopted in the joint national convention of workers held in New Delhi on March 5, 2019.

Forty Lakh Signatures Collected against Scanty Budget for ICDS
HUNDREDS of Anganwadi Workers and Helpers from all over the country under the leadership of All India Federation of Anganwadi Workers and Helpers (AIFAWH), marched to the parliament on February 25 protesting against the inadequate budget allocation for implementation of increased remuneration, and against the introduction of direct cash transfer in the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS).

Make ‘Delhi Chalo’ Programme from Nov 9-11 a Grand Success: CWFI

THE Construction Workers Federation of India (CWFI) has given a call to make the November 9-11‘Delhi Chalo’ programme of central trade unions and federations a grand success and ensure maximum participation of construction workers in it.  

The CWFI all India working committee, at its 60th meeting held in Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh on August 29-30, also decided to take up the issues of ban on sand and black stone mining, and disbursal of construction workers’ welfare fund. The meeting was presided over by CWFI president R Singaravelu, Malathi Chittibabu and N Veeraswamy.

CITU Working Committee Meeting, Shimla: Fight Anti National Policies of BJP Government Extend Solidarity to Farmers’ Struggles

THE working committee of CITU which met in Shimla from July 14-16 has called upon the working class of the country to intensify struggles against the anti-people anti- national policies of the BJP led government. GST, the Biggest Neoliberal Push
