The DSMM strongly condemns the dastardly murder of Sachin Valiya, younger brother of Kamal Valiya the District President of Bhim Army, Saharanpur.  It is completely outrageous that this crime was committed exactly one year after the protest against the dalits of Shabbirpur village in the district by a section of Rajputs who were shouting slogans against Dr.

TO facilitate the building up of a united resistance by all dalit organisations against the onslaught on dalits by the present Modi-led BJP government, a meeting was held in Delhi on April 12 with the representatives of different dalit organisations.  The meeting was presided over by Prakash Ambedkar.  On behalf of DSMM, V Srinivasa Rao and Nathu Prasad, Thirunavukkarasu from the All India Agricultural Workers Union, V S Nirmal from All India Khet Mazdoor Union, Rameshnathan and Kamal Nath from NCDHR, Ananda Rao from AIDRF, Ashok Bharati from NACDOR attended the meeting. 

HUNDREDS of activists belonging to Dalit Shoshan Mukti Manch demonstrated in front of parliament on March 21, demanding revival of SC Sub Plan in its true letter and spirit and against violence on dalits in the country. It is shocking to note that a crime is committed against dalits in every 15 minutes in India. And six dalit women are raped every day, according to the official statistics. According to data available from various sources, there is 66 per cent hike in atrocities in the past ten years, from 2007-2017.

HUNDREDS of disabled people from 12 states and 21 organisations under the banner of the National Platform for the Rights of the Disabled demonstrated at Parliament Street on March 6th morning demanding the right to travel by railways – for accessible and affordable railways.

Later in the evening a delegation met the union railway minister Piyush Goyal and submitted a memorandum. The delegation was accompanied by M B Rajesh, member of parliament.
