Take Firm Action Against Attack on Dalit Family

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement on October 21.

THE Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) strongly condemns the murderous attack on a dalit family in Faridabad district of Haryana. A dalit family of four, including two children, was set on fire inside their house allegedly by higher caste Hindus in village Sunperh in Ballabgarh.  Two children, aged two and 10 months, died before any medical attention could be provided and their mother is struggling for life at Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital.

Second List of Candidates for Bihar Assembly Elections

The Party has decided to field its candidates in 43 constituencies. We have already published the list of 33 constituencies along with the names of the candidates. The following is the second list of the candidates.

Mainpuri Attack: Take Firm Action

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement on October 10.

THE violence in Mainpuri in Uttar Pradesh once again highlights how the issue of cow slaughter is being utilised to target the minority community. A mob attacked four men who were accused of killing a cow, two of whom are injured and in a critical condition. Some shops belonging to Muslims were set on fire. The Polit Bureau condemns these attacks.

Oppose Malabar Exercises

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement on October 12.

THE Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) expresses its strong opposition to the Malabar joint naval exercises going to be conducted from the day after tomorrow, October 14 to 21.

Left Front Wins Siliguri Panchayats

THE Left Front achieved a significant victory as it won Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad. Elections to the three-tier panchayat in Siliguri sub division in Darjeeling district were held on October 3. Elections in Siliguri were peaceful except for some sporadic incidents. People from the rural and semi-rural areas, and tea gardens have squarely defeated the TMC.

Arrest Sangeet Som

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement on October 5, 2015.

THE Polit Bureau condemns the hate speech made by BJP MLA Sangeet Som in Bishada village in Dadri yesterday. This village was witness to the gruesome and pre-planned murder of Mohammad Akhlaq by a communal mob on the night of September 28. The relevant provisions of the law should be invoked against Som and he should be arrested immediately.

Organise Protests against Kolkata Lathicharge

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement on October 2.

THE Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) condemns the brutal lathicharge on peaceful protesters in Kolkata on October 1. The Kolkata Left Front had organised a march to the Kolkata Police Headquarters at Lalbazar protesting against the deteriorating law and order in the city, police atrocities against Left Front workers and the hooliganism indulged in by the Trinamul Congress.
