Reconsider Decision on Life Saving Drugs

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement on March 3, 2016.

THE Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) expresses its deep concern that 76 life saving drugs have been taken off the customs duties exemption list. This gazette notification by the government has made these drugs more expensive. These drugs include anti-cancer, anti-AIDS and drugs for haemophilia patients.

Union Budget 2016-17

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement on February 29, 2016.

IN the backdrop of global economic slowdown, the budget should have increased measures that enhance domestic demand. Instead it chose to continue with the same regressive policies that are contractionary. This would aggravate inequality, unemployment and further contract exports. It would lead to increasing distress in agriculture and the countryside, the collapse of industrial production, the slowdown in construction activities and many services.

Stop Violent Attacks on Citizens

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement on February 24, 2016.

THE Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) expresses its grave concern and anguish over the growing signs of hatred and use of violence unilaterally to intimidate individuals, groups, identities who hold views contrary to those of the perpetrators.

We are shocked over the acid attack on the social activist turned AAP functionary Soni Sori in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh. Sori had to be brought to Delhi for urgent medical attention and continue to be in hospital.

Grave Situation in Haryana

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement on February 20.

THE Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) expresses its deep anguish and concern over the grave situation resulting from the ongoing agitation demanding reservation for Jats turning violent, leading to the tragic death of four persons reportedly in police firing. Many more are reported to have been grievously injured and undergoing treatment. The PB expresses its solemn condolences to the bereaved families.

Hooliganism in Court

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement on February 15, 2016.

THE Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) strongly condemns the shocking incident of hooliganism indulged in by lawyers and goons owing allegiance to the BJP at the Patiala House Courts in Delhi today. Teachers and students of the JNU and journalists were physically assaulted and driven out of the court. Several people suffered injuries. The JNU Students Union president who was arrested was to have been produced in the court today.

Victory in Tripura Assembly Bye-Election

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement on February 16, 2016.

THE Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), now in session in New Delhi, hails the victory of the CPI(M) candidate in the bye-election to the Amarpur assembly constituency in Tripura.

 

The Polit Bureau has congratulated the Tripura state committee for this victory and thanked the people of Amarpur for reposing their faith in the Party.
