Countrywide Protests planned against Trump’s visit

RAISING slogans like: “go back trump”, “hands off Indian agriculture”, “no to opening up of poultry and dairy market to US products”, the AIKS has decided to build a strong opposition to the visit of Donal Trump, president of the United States of America.  The AIKS in a statement issued on February 17, has opposed the decision of the Narendra Modi led BJP government to invite US president to India on February 24 and 25, 2020 and facilitate the signing of trade agreements to open up the dairy and poultry market to US products.

Protest against Bolsonaro: AIKS, AIDWA, SFI hold a protest at Jantar- Mantar

PROTESTS were organised in several places of country on January 25, against the visit of Brazilian President, Jair Messias Bolsonaro, who was invited as chief guest for India’s Republic Day celebrations on January 26 by Narendra Modi government.  All India Sugarcane Farmers’ Federation (affiliated to All India Kisan Sabha) had given call for protest actions to its units.

MSP Announced is a Betrayal of Farmers: AIKS

THE Minimum Support Price (MSP) of winter crops for the forthcoming Rabi Marketing Season (RMS) (2020-21) announced by the Narendra Modi led BJP government is insensitive, anti-peasant and a betrayal of its own promises. In times of an economic recession, increased costs of cultivation and falling incomes, the MSP announced is a mockery of farmers’ plight. Pliant sections of the corporate media are only adding insult to injury by terming it a festival gift to farmers.

AIKS to Protest against RCEP

THE All India Kisan Sabha, in a statement issued on October 11, has strongly opposed the move of Narendra Modi government to sign Regional Comprehensive Economic Pact (RCEP) neglecting the interests of the small and middle farmers and working class of India. If India becomes partner in RCEP, the agriculture as well as the domestic economy will face its detrimental impact. The Indian markets will be dumped with cheap industrial products from other countries and the diary sector will be heavily devastated.

TRIPURA: Kisan Sabha to Strengthen Resistance & Intensify Struggles

THE two-day extended meeting of All India Kisan Sabha, Tripura state council and Tripura Gana Mukti Parishad held at Agartala on September 1-2, 2019 gave a clarion call to strengthen resistance and intensify struggles on the burning problems of the peasantry and the oppressed sections. Broad solidarity will be built uniting the peasantry, agricultural workers, workers, women, youth and all oppressed to make timely interventions as well as result-oriented struggles.

Shed Apathy to Flood Hit States: AIKS

THE All India Kisan Sabha, in a statement issued on August 11, notes with concern the utter irresponsible and insensitive approach of the BJP led central government to the unprecedented floods, loss of lives and property in different parts of the country. In the last few months, large parts of India have been reeling under severe floods that have led to loss of hundreds of lives. Initially in July 2019, heavy rains and floods affected Assam, Bihar and nearby states in which there has been loss of lives and livestock as well as wild animals in the Kaziranga National Park.
