Yechury Underlines Need for Reservations in Private Sector

DODDI Komaraiah Bhavan, commemorating Telangana armed struggle hero from Nalgonda district Doddi Komaraiah, was inaugurated by CPI(M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury in Nalgonda town on Tuesday, June 02nd. It will be a centre for conducting multifarious activities with involvement of various mass organisations. CPI(M) Central Committee member Cherupalli Seetharamulu hoisted the Party flag while veteran leader Anantharama Sharma unveiled Doddi Komaraiah memorial arch. The meeting hall was inaugurated by CPI(M) leader and veteran Telangana armed struggle participant Mallu Swarajyam.

Confidence Inspiring Conference

THE first state conference of Telangana state unit of CPI(M) was marked by confidence inspiring deliberations about the future of the Party and the Left in the newly created state. Placing the Political-Organisational Report after the inaugural session before the 700 delegates, state secretary Thammineni Veerabhadram said the crucial element for the future is the unity between Left, democratic and social forces in Telangana. The CPI(M) is committed to taking this unity to higher levels. Already 10 Left parties in the state are working in tandem on various issues facing the public.

‘Strengthen Party and Launch United Struggles’

SUCCESSFULLY resisting the right wing neo-liberal offensive launched by the Modi government is only possible with the strengthening of CPI(M) and other Left parties, and through united struggles, said CPI(M) general secretary Prakash Karat. He promised that the CPI(M) would take initiative in forging widest possible unity among Left and democratic forces in the country towards achieving this end.

Left Parties Join Hands to Continue People’s Struggle in Telangana

The Left and Communist parties in the newly carved-out state of Telangana have reminded the KCR-led government of the promises made to the people before and after the first assembly elections in the state and warned it of mass struggles if it failed to live up to the people’s expectations. They also cautioned the new government against adopting neo-liberal policies that will come in the way of the people’s welfare and all-round development of the state.

TELANGANA: Agricultural Workers Union Objects To State Govt’s Questionnaire

THE Telangana Agricultural Workers Union (TAWU) raised apprehensions about the undeclared intentions of the so-called Intensive Household Survey undertaken by the Telangana state government. In this effort, the government is going to generate a data base for all the 90 lakh households, about the assets and amenities at the disposal of the said households. Various sections of people have raised objections on different grounds and some even went to court seeking a stop to the survey.

CPI(M) Pledge on Formation of Telangana

The CPI(M) Telangana state committee gave a call to all its members to undertake the following pledge on the occasion of formation of Telangana state on 2 June. Thousands of Party members across the ten districts of the state undertook this pledge in meetings organised by the Party. In Hyderabad, the meeting was addressed by CPI(M) Polit Bureau member B V Raghavulu, CPI(M) Telangana state secretary Thammineni Veerabhadram and others.
