Save Independence of Judiciary

ON March 21, Justice J Chelameswar, the most senior judge of the Supreme Court and a member of the Collegium, wrote to the Chief Justice of India to convene the full court on judicial side to discuss the matter of government interference in the appointment of judges to high courts. Copies of this letter has also been sent to 22 other judges of the Supreme Court.

AILU Condemns Hoisting of Saffron Flag on Udaipur Court Building

THE All India Lawyers Union, in a statement issued on December 20, has condemned in strongest term the action of some so-called Hindu organisation hoisting saffron flag on the district court building at Udaipur in Rajasthan on December 14, 2017. It was an atrocious act of defiling the secular place meant to protect rule of law and the constitutional mandate of providing justice to the people practicing different faiths and beliefs.
