CPI(M) Condemns Caste Selective Utterances Of Leaders

THE Haryana state committee of CPI(M), has expressed concern over attempts to create an atmosphere of insecurity and social strife in the state. In a press release to this effect issued on May 31, the Party has said that the state is yet to recover itself from the trauma of massive loss of life and livelihood as a result of trail of violence during February last. Party secretariat has condemned the selective provocative utterances of certain political leaders solely according to their caste affiliations. The ruling BJP and other opposition leaders are not desisting from their narrow and petty politics of caste polarisation inspite of the irreparable loss already suffered by the society. The Party has appealed the people not to fall prey to divisive passions and identify the real character of the neo-liberal policies which these parties pursue only to deprive the youth from their basic right to education and employment. The CPI(M) has recalled that on the one hand BJP governments both at the centre and the state have banned all recruitments, were humiliating the children and their parents by denying admissions under 134-A, have brought peasantry and agriculture to the brink of disaster while the youth was being put against each other to quarrel on the paltry crumbs in the name of reservation. As far as reservation quota is concerned all should wait for the court verdict and respect the same. The CPI(M) has strongly urged the people to remain vigilant to all kinds of provocation and desist from taking any step that may weaken the broad unity needed to counter the anti-people policies.
